Your match.com profile pix may not be the best for your driver’s license. At least not in Georgia, where the problem of fleshy photos is so bad that the Georgia Department of Drivers’ Services has issued a warning to drivers.
The state agency has made it very clear, “Please take pictures with your clothes on when submitting them for your Digital Driver’s License and IDs.” Georgia allows residents to provide their own photos with certain restrictions. One of those is, apparently, you must be clothed.
Now keep your pants on; this benefit will come to Alabama.
States are experimenting with the digital license so that you can carry your ID on your phone. I know how you like to go clubbing and how easily your ID and credit card can get lost as you line dance to Honky Tonk Badonkadonk. OK, I am not as young as I used to be – no need to shame me over my song selection.
With a digital ID, digital payment, and a locked phone, you may lose your cell but not your personal information. Where be my phone? Lizzo, right – a little more current.
A digital form of license does currently exist in our state, but it is just a sort of photocopy of your Alabama driver’s license.
Having a digital license solves one other problem. Ever gotten down the road and realized you forgot your wallet? Problem solved; you almost never forget your phone.
