In Alabama: Fight and Win Against a No Insurance Driver

Hurt in a traffic accident by a driver without insurance? Does your lawyer say you are out of luck? Well, you probably went to the wrong lawyer!

Here in Alabama, you automatically get uninsured motorist coverage unless you expressly waive that away. And even if you did that, your insurance company must come up with that signed form — which often they cannot.

Here are the facts. Alabama is one of the states with the highest number of people driving around WITHOUT insurance. An estimated 1 in 3 drivers either doesn’t have it or has too little of it.

Why is this important? If you are hurt in a traffic accident, you’ll need money to get better. Since the person who hit you probably cannot write a check for a few hundred thousand dollars, let alone a million dollars, where is the money coming from? I say try this — make your own insurance company pay.

It may sound strange, but that is how it works in Alabama. So, say you have $100,000 uninsured motorist coverage on each car (I am sure you are already doing the math); that is $300,000 to get you better.
